Simple hexagons of brass, etched with a pattern of cursive script, turned this way and that and overlapping...perhaps there's a hidden message.
I produced this design during a class on etching copper and brass, so they are one-(or two)-of-a-kind, and will not be repeated. I punched a hole in one corner of each hexagon and suspended them from simple hand forged sterling shepherds crook ear wires. The hexagons measure about 7/8 of an inch between opposite corners, and hang to 1 and 1/2 inches from the tops of the wires.
The metal is untreated and will tarnish, but can be polished back to a bright shine with a lightly abrasive polishing cloth such as Sunshine Cloth, or a gentle abrasive such as Barkeeper's Friend. A cloth meant for silver only will not be as effective on brass, nor do I recommend using brass polish on the sterling wires.
